Anne Gehre

CS Ph.D.

About

I am a former Ph. D. student of the Visual Computing Institute (Computer Graphics and Multimedia Group) at the RWTH Aachen University, where I work with Prof. Dr. Leif Kobbelt.

My research focussed on 3D shape analysis and geometry processing. In several projects I have exploited the abstract information given by feature curve networks to perform tasks as scale adapation (e.g. for remeshing), similarity detection, functional mapping, or classification. The developed methods are based on data analysis, machine learning, and optimization algorithms.

During my Ph. D. I had the chance to visit the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to perform research on functional maps in the Geometric Data Processing Group together with Prof. Dr. Justin Solomon.
